#1 GOD loves you profoundly

Once upon a time, there was a young man.
As a child, his parents' business failed, leaving them with an enormous debt.
The enormous debt weakened his parents to the point that they passed away shortly after.
The young man, burdened with this monumental debt and having nowhere to go, became homeless.

Then one day, a wealthy man appeared before him. He said,

"I will provide you with food, clothing, and a place to stay.
Rise, clean up, and work at our company.
If you work hard at our company, I will pay you accordingly."

Why did this wealthy man help the young man in crisis?
Compassion? Goodwill? The ability to recognize talent?
Whatever the reason, only the benefactor would know.

So, what is the reason that we, who sinned and deserved death, have become children of God,
and have formed a relationship where we can communicate through prayer?
The Bible talks about 'love' in regard to this event.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
- John 3:16 -

It's because of 'love' that we received forgiveness.
It's because of 'love' that we became children of God.
And it's because of 'love' that we've formed a relationship where we can communicate.

Thus, prayer is a precious 'gift' given to us because of God's love.
