The Bible, divided into the Old and New Testaments, is vast and at times challenging to comprehend.
However, when viewed as a whole, it revolves around a single theme - 'Jesus Christ'.
The Old Testament speaks of the promise of the coming of Jesus Christ,
and the events leading up to His arrival.
It does so through diverse ages, perspectives, and forms of expression.
Our world, modeled after God's attributes, was created with each aspect both holy and beautiful.
However, humans, created in the image of God, introduced 'sin' into this world when they betrayed God.
It is at this point that God promised a savior, 'Jesus Christ'.
"And I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."
- Genesis 3:15 -
The New Testament is filled with stories about Jesus Christ who came and will come again.
Jesus Christ, being divine, came in the perfect form of a human to save mankind.
The story of 'Jesus Christ', which runs through the length of the Bible, reaches its climax at the 'work of the Cross'.
The cross was the most severe punishment for the worst sinners of that time.
Occasionally, we hear touching stories where parents, in their love for their children,
sacrifice themselves to correct their children's mistakes.
Jesus, who was without sin, decided to take on the responsibility of our sins out of love for us.
The price of our sins was paid on the cross.
The act of our Creator becoming our Savior was a poignant moment.
The cross, the worst punishment for humanity, has become a 'praise-worthy title' for believers.
Through the love demonstrated by Jesus Christ on the cross, you, I, and all who believe in Jesus Christ have received salvation.
