Our 'prayer' is completely distinct from 'meditation'.
While meditation involves focusing intensively on a single subject
or severing that concern altogether, prayer is an interaction with God.

From a similar perspective, the difference between superstitious prayers and Christian prayers lies in the focus.
If superstitious prayer focuses solely on ritualistic 'requests',
Christian prayer, on the other hand, is a communication with the Divine God, inclusive of supplications and requests.

In this regard, the Bible continuously assures that God hears our prayers.
He even hears the 'sound of crying'.

"The LORD said, 'I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt.
I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.'"

- Exodus 3:7 (NIV) -

Thus, our prayers commence from the faith that our mighty God is always listening.
